Movers and Shakers
Preschool Class

Our preschool teachers are excited about helping our 3 and 4 year olds know Christ and make Him known. They minister to the preschoolers through Bible stories, the arts and creative play. We use Gospel Light’s “Movers and Shakers” curriculum.

The preschool class begins 5 minutes before each morning service. The class is in the Bright Beginnings Preschool room on the first floor. Parents are encouraged to sign their child in before the service starts. The children enjoy playtime during the first few minutes. Children arriving late miss this opportunity and have a harder time settling down for the Bible Story. Parents must sign their child out at pick-up.

What goes on in class?

The preschool class begins with playtime that allows the children to build relationships with each other that will last throughout their time at Hopewell. After playtime, the children have circle time that includes singing, a flannel graph Bible story and prayer.

Next, they work on an art project related to the Bible Story and enjoy snack time together. Each week the children bring home a “Family Time” paper that relates to the lesson.

It is important that you take the time to share this with your child and to partner with us in their Christian nurture.
