HUDSON RIVER HOUSING

Ministry Description: Hudson River Housing is dedicated to providing decent, affordable housing for low to moderate income people in our community. The programs offered cover a wide range of needs: Gannett House provides emergency transitional housing for families, River Haven has supervised living and counseling for runaway and homeless youth, and Hillcrest House provides transitional apartments for 75 adults, most of whom have been homeless. Shelter Plus Care provides housing for those disabled by mental illness. The Homeless Shelter provides overnight beds, showers and meals for homeless adults. Other programs help people to become home owners through building rehabilitation and education.

HRC Support: HRC members are directly involved as volunteer staff and providing meals at the Homeless Shelter.

Prayer Requests:

That sufficient housing can be provided to meet the constant need,
That there are programs and opportunities available to meet the spiritual needs as well as the physical ones of the homeless.
