We would like to start this report by thanking our HRC family for their prayers and constant support on this project, we are extremely blessed to have such a supportive church family. This project began on November 20th of 2005, when a group of 11 people committed themselves to going to South Africa to support the ministry of Henk and Juanita Van Zyl. We called our team the “Barnabas” team, taken from the example of the life of Barnabas in the book of Acts, who was an encourager (his name even means son of encouragement). The vision of the orphanage is to change the lives of the children; to help them realize that they are not a mistake, that God placed them on this earth for a reason, and that they have a future and a divine purpose. Their vision is to restore dignity to the disadvantaged children of South Africa by demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ by caring for their physical, spiritual, emotional and intellectual needs.
